ARE YOU A NEW THERAPIST?

Needing guidance around clinical issues or looking for clinical supervision?
I provide consultation and supervision for social workers looking to complete their clinical hours. I completed a supervision fellowship at Chicago Counseling Associates and I fulfilled necessary supervisory qualifications through the “Supervision Pathways: Converging Needs, Duties & Opportunities” training. My supervision style is similar to the way I practice as a therapist. I believe in being process-oriented, trauma-informed, and humanistic as a supervisor.

SUPERVISION

I offer tailored clinical supervision for new therapists that are looking to complete their supervision hours. I provide tailored guidance and reflective discussions to help you navigate the intricacies of clinical practice, refine your therapeutic abilities, and enhance self-awareness. By emphasizing your individual strengths and aspirations, my goal is to equip you with the confidence, competence, and ethical foundation needed to excel as a therapist and positively influence your clients' lives. Together, we embark on a collaborative process of growth and exploration, cultivating a supportive partnership that nurtures your evolution into a client-centered and ethical clinician.

CONSULTATION

I offer practical guidance and support for new therapists venturing into private practice. From managing insurance billing to handling administrative tasks like obtaining an NPI, I provide the necessary tools and expertise to help you establish and expand your practice. With personalized assistance and clear instructions, I assist you in overcoming administrative challenges, enabling you to prioritize client care and pursue your professional path.

WHAT DOES SUPERVISION
FOR A NEW THERAPIST LOOK LIKE?

My supervision style is similar to the way I practice as a therapist. I believe in being process-oriented, trauma-informed, and collaborative as a supervisor. Our work would be collaborative and I believe in creating a supervision plan that works for the person I am supervising.

I integrate a diverse range of interactive methods in my clinical supervision, including case studies, role-playing, creative writing, collaborative feedback, and body awareness/mindfulness activities. Through case studies, we explore ethical dilemmas, licensing regulations, diagnosis, and treatment options, fostering a deeper understanding of clinical practice. Role-playing offers real-time clinical practice, allowing for immediate feedback and skill development. Creative writing serves as a tool for envisioning one's professional identity and engaging in self-care and reflection. I encourage the use of session recordings or process recordings for comprehensive discussion and problem-solving, highlighting both areas of improvement and strengths. Additionally, I prioritize body awareness and mindfulness practices, aiding in self-care and enhancing the mind-body connection, ultimately enriching clinical effectiveness and presence.
